Devotions

My Comforter, my Father, You who are close to the brokenhearted, hear my prayer. My spirit is weary, and my body is in pain. This burden feels too heavy to carry alone. I ask not necessarily that You remove it, but that You grant me the strength to endure it with grace. Let me feel Your presence beside me in this valley of shadow. Help me to trust that You are working all things for good, even when I cannot see or understand. Protect my heart from growing bitter or falling into despair. Fill me with Your strength, which is made perfect in my weakness, and let this time of trial draw me ever closer to You. Amen.
