Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your access to Goodness Bible App and goodnessbible.com, operated by Cosvire ("we", "us"). By using our services you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Goodness. Users between 13 and 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

3. Your Account

• You sign in with a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your email. Keep access to your email account secure — anyone who can read your inbox can sign in as you.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us at contact@goodnessbible.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Provide accurate information and do not impersonate others or choose a username that infringes someone else's rights.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory, hateful, or that infringes others' rights.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited commercial messages.
• Upload malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to, disrupt, or overload our systems.
• Scrape or systematically download content without our written permission.
• Reverse-engineer, tamper with, or attempt to bypass the app's security or integrity checks (see Section 9).
• Use the service in violation of applicable law.

5. User-Generated Content & Moderation

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By posting to public areas (community wall, prayer wall), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content within Goodness for the purpose of operating the service. Public posts may be reviewed and are shown to others only after approval. Journal entries are private to you. We may remove content that violates these Terms, and you may delete your content at any time.

6. Purchases, Contributions & Refunds

• Goodness is free to use. Some optional features — such as contributions/donations and shop items — are available as in-app purchases.
• All in-app purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment-card details.
• Purchases are also subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies. Requests for refunds are generally handled through Google Play; contributions/donations are non-refundable except where required by law or Play policy.
• Where a purchase involves physical goods, any applicable delivery details and timelines will be shown at the point of sale.

7. Bible Content & Translations

The King James Version (KJV) is in the public domain. Additional translations are provided under their respective licences and remain the property of their rights holders. Translations are offered for personal devotional use.

8. Intellectual Property

Original devotional content, the app's design, graphics, and code are the intellectual property of Cosvire and are protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or redistribute our original content without written permission.

9. Application Integrity & Security

To protect users, the app verifies that it is genuine and unmodified using Google's Play Integrity API, pins our server certificate, and signs its API requests. You agree not to circumvent, disable, or interfere with these protections, and not to access the API other than through the official app.

10. Notifications

If you opt in, we may send reminders and announcements through the app. You can disable notifications at any time in the app or your device settings.

11. Availability & Offline Use

The bundled Bible is designed to work offline. Other features — account sync, additional translations, community, and audio voices — may require an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance or factors beyond our control.

12. Third-Party Services

Goodness relies on Google services, including Google Play Billing (purchases), Google Firebase (opt-in analytics and crash reporting), and the Google Play Integrity API (app attestation). Your use of these is subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.

13. Disclaimers

Goodness is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. 14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cosvire shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or content, arising from your use of Goodness.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Cosvire harmless from claims arising out of content you submit or your misuse of the service in breach of these Terms.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app; deletion removes your associated content as described in the Privacy Policy.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via the app or email, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Cosvire is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
