Devotions

Father of all life, from whom every family is named, You are the author of creation. My heart holds a deep desire to be a parent, to nurture a new life, and to raise a child in Your ways. I ask that You would look upon my desire with favor. If it is Your will, please bless me with the precious gift of a child. Prepare my body to conceive and carry life, and prepare my heart to be a loving, patient, and wise parent. But above all, I surrender this most intimate desire to Your holy will. You are sovereign, and Your plan is perfect. If Your path for me is different, grant me the grace to accept it and the peace to trust Your goodness. Show me how else I may nurture life and share my love in this world. Amen.
